    On Saturday March 16, the Brussels Philharmonic will play for the first time in the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York. The orchestra will be conducted by Stéphane Denève.

    It is the first time in 30 years that a Belgian orchestra will perform in Carnegie Hall.

    The World Bank is delighted to announce that the World Bank Young Professionals Program will be opened for applications from June 14 – July 31, 2018.

    WB Young Professionals Program opens for application on June 14th - The World Bank Young Professionals Program is a premier global recruitment program and is a unique opportunity for exceptionally talented young professionals (born on October 1, 1986 or after) with a passion for international development to contribute to solving some of the world’s most pressing problems.  We are looking for candidates that have a Master’s Degree plus three years of relevant experience or candidates that are in their last year of a PhD.  The Program is designed for highly qualified and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to the World Bank's Operations such as:  economics, finance, education, public health, social sciences, engineering, urban planning, and natural resource management.

    Acoording to HP, one of the reasons they chose Leuven is their ranking as the 5th most innovative university in the world. The supercomputer, called 'Genius', was developed together by KU Leuven and HP.

    On Sep 21, a EU delegation presented opportunities for researchers and organizations in programs as Horizon 2020 and Marie Curie, to stimulate international collaboration and exchange of scientists in and from the European Union. 

    No less than 90 people signed up for this information session. The event was supported by the Government of Flanders and our Alumni Chapter.
