Invited speaker: Prof. Marc Swyngedouw


In this lecture, he will show how voters with different social, economic, and cultural characteristics voted in the last federal election in Flanders-Belgium on May 25, 2014. Prof. Swyngedouw will give special attention to the communitarian issue and the vote for the N-VA, the winner of this election.

The lecture is based on the post-electoral 2014 study done by the Institute for Social and Political Opinion Research (ISPO) of the KU Leuven.

 



Marc Swyngedouw is full professor in Political Sociology and Methodology at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, KU Leuven (BE) where he is currently the director of the Institute of Social and Political Opinion research (ISPO).
